LIU Zhijie, professor-level senior engineer, deputy director, the training expert and lecturer in the programs of China’s Foreign Aid-Human Resource Development and Cooperation, local government officials in China and corporate manager training, the consultant for China South-South Cooperation Projects sponsored by the Special Unit for South-South Cooperation in the United Nations Development Program(2012.10-2017.10). Completed the research and application projects from government departments such as MEE, MOFCOM and NDRC and international organizations such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, UNDP and UNIDO. He presided over and participated in the compilation of 22 Chinese and English professional books, and 20 academic papers in foreign and domestic core journals, and wrote several high-quality policy research reports for government to provide technical support for government decision-making.
Moreover, he was awarded by UNIDO for the outstanding influence and great contributions made by the achievements of the project on China's Implementation of the Stockholm Convention in Capacity Building from UNIDO. He presided over and compiled a series of six volumes of China's environmental training series, which is listed in the first batch of national environmental protection excellent training materials by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and is published in the international market cooperated with German Walter De Gruyter. Mr. Zhou Shengxian, the then-Minister of MEP, made comments in the preface that this training series filled the gap in China's environmental protection foreign training books.
